Did you know that every school district has a person whose responsibility it is to assist students experiencing homelessness? Many times students are ashamed or embarrassed to let anyone know what they are experiencing at home, but there is a law called the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act that ensures that children are not denied access to education and their homelessness should never be a reason to drop out of school.
