Everything was normal when I got up for school. I washed my face, brushed my teeth, then had breakfast. When I was in class, I was called to the office to checkout early. Mom said we had to pack everything and go. Our house was being foreclosed and we were moving with my aunt in SW Atlanta. I have a new school that has metal detectors at the entrance, new teachers, and no friends. This was the worst experience ever for me! |

My mom was laid off her job after 15years. My bother and I didn't know at first, but soon the bills started stacking up. We could no longer stay in our house. I was so angry at her for a long time and I shut down in school, but now I know it was not her fault. I would like to share with you what I have learned throughout this process. Don't blame your parents. They work hard for their kids. My mom said that the only way we can go now is back up since we have hit the bottom. We live in a shelter. I am more thankful for little things now! |
