You can help to make America's children the First Focus for federal lawmakers. See how there are others that believes in youth voices, and want success for all federal efforts supporting children and youth.

 

 Founded in 1986, the Atlanta Children's Shelter provides free, quality day care, emotional support, an educational curriculum for homeless children, and focused social services for their families. Dedicated to helping families overcome the issues that contribute to homelessness, including domestic violence and job loss, the Atlanta Children's Shelter focuses on the long term self sufficiency of the family! Email Phillip Lovell or Julia Isaacs at www.firstfocus.net to help join in the plea to try o get the federal government to provide school districts with $100 million so they can help homeless students stay in school, even if they lose their homes. 

 

 Contact your Senators and House Representatives and urge them to include funds in the bill for the McKinney-Veto Act's Education for Homeless Children and Youth (EHCY) program.  Go to http://www.whitehouseofficeonchildrenandyouth.org/TakeAction and enter your zip code to contact the right officials.

I am currently creating symbolic jewelry with unique messages on them. The messages are all efforts to allow kids voices to be heard. Proceeds will be donated to local homeless shelters.
